The government has notified the IT(Procedure and Safeguards for Interception, Monitoring and Decryption of Information) Rules 2009 (‘Interception Rules’) under clause (y) of sub-section (2) of Section 87 read with sub-section (2) of Section 69 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
