Srikrishna Committee submits their report and Draft Data Protection Bill 2018

The Justice BN Srikrishna Committee has submitted a draft Personal Data Protection Bill, 2018 to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The committee was formed in July 2017 to examine data protection issues, recommend solutions, and draft a law to protect citizens’ personal data while also allowing the digital economy to grow.
