India Inc. raised concerns over the draft Digital Competition Bill 2024 during a meeting chaired by MeitY Secretary S. Krishnan, which also included representatives from the Competition Commission of India and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, as reported by the Hindu. The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) was also involved and criticized the bill for its broad definition of significant digital players, which encompasses both large and small firms, and argued that existing issues could be addressed through amendments to the IT and Competition Acts.
